Ash Wednesday, the start of the Season of Lent -- the season where all people repent of their sins and do fasting. Every year we keep on celebrating the Lenten Season and we are always reminded to repent and change our hearts but still were back to our old ways after this season. As Ash Wednesday is celebrated to remind us that "We are from Dust and into Dust we shall return." This statement has been passed to generation since the beginning of time. It is been said as the Priests puts ash into the forehead in a form of a Cross but this year, there has been a change in statement and it became :"Repent and have faith in the Gospel". We may not see it now the importance of Ash Wednesday or the Lenten Season but someday we will be. As the usual tradition goes on fasting and abstinence we are still encourage not to eat meat during the Ash Wednesday and the upcoming Fridays of the Season. We may think that fasting could be hard to do because we love eating meat but fasting does not only speak of the food but also the acts that we usually do. We could fast in texting and doing those bad habits of ours. This would only happen once in a year and we could not even do this one for we complain much. This is the only time where we remember God, his paschal mystery, and His great Love for us. Try to repent and ask forgiveness to all those people that we might have hurt. Always remember that no matter how big is that person's mistake to us, we still have to forgive because even God forgives us despite our numerous sins. Ash Wednesday guys, Lent has started, let's all together commemorate Jesus.
